But when I got to class tonight, there was a sign on the door that the teacher is sick and my class has been canceled! She must be very sick, because my teacher is not the kind of person to cancel class without a very good reason. Thankfully Dad was nearby at First Baptist Church, where Mom and Emily were at a deaf Bible study for Emily's ASL class. I called Dad and waited with Sherri, a lady from my class, until Dad came about five minutes later. Then, since the Bible study wouldn't be over for close to an hour, Dad took me to Starbucks! I got a pumpkin spice latte and Dad got a small decaf coffee.  I really enjoyed having coffee with you, Dad. And I'm so glad I was able to come back early.

I enjoyed our time together too, Anna. With our busy lives it's not very often we have a chance to just sit down and talk about whatever. I look forward to doing it more often, although I hope not under the same circumstances.
