"But far be it from me to boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world."
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nail My Glory
No more, my God, I boast no more
Of everything my hands have done
I quit the hopes I held before
To trust the merits of Your Son
Chorus
Now for His love I bear His name
My former pride I call my shame
What was my gain I count my loss
And I nail my glory to His cross
And by Your grace I will esteem
All things but loss for Jesus’ sake
Oh may my soul be found in Him
And of His righteousness partake
All of the works of my own hands
I dare not bring before Your throne
My faith responds to Your demands
By pleading what my Lord has done

I'm here at JMU at Youth Camp 2008. I'm having a great time so far... there was a session last night and then we stayed up past midnight playing games. Today is Dad's birthday and Mom and Ben showed up to surprise him. They'll be back after lunch with a cake.
There's definitely a lot to do here. There's a sports area with foosball and pool and DDR. There are some computers available for us to use in that area also (that's where I am right now!). Later I'd like to go on a walk in the arboretum.
I'm also looking forward to the other sessions. They are going to be challenging and I'm excited about what God is going to do in the youth here.
Well, I'm going to hang out a little more and then go back to the dorm and get ready for Face2Face!
Last night on the way home from work I nearly got into a car accident. It was one of the scariest things that I've experienced ... here's what happened. I was driving down a main road through Coulwood at about 10:45 and approaching an intersection with a road on my right. That road has a stop sign at the intersection; the road I was on didn't have a stop sign. There was a car driving down the road on the right towards the intersection. Just before I got to the intersection I noticed that the car was going fast. Too fast to stop. And then it slammed on its brakes and whipped around the corner right behind me. If I had been a second later I probably would have been hit in the side of the car.I don't know what the deal was; apparently the person did not see the stop sign or me. After the incident all I could say was thank you Lord! He was watching out for me.
Tonight is the Quest222 seniors' banquet. Mr. Morrison asked me to give a speech at the banquet, so I'm doing it. I must say that I am really not too excited about it. At my graduation I was shaking so badly while I was giving my speech. But if this is going to encourage others ... well then. It's not so bad. And maybe God wants me to have another opportunity to grow in my fear of him and defeat my fear of man. That really puts things in a new light.

So this morning was my orientation at CMC-Mercy for the junior volunteer program. This is my second year, and I will be helping in the same area again this year (Outpatient waiting room). I was hoping to do something different, like work in the lab, but oh well. It's still an opportunity to serve. And besides, the hours are only from 9 to 1 now. Last year they were 8:30 to 3:30 ... that was really tiring. I still think I'm going to enjoy it. So that's what I'll be doing for the next eight Monday mornings.
Oh yeah ... I'm off work all day today. It is strange ...

But I get to work tomorrow. I'm looking forward to seeing my people again.
Working at Chick-fil-A in the summer is NOT going to be nice. The temperature part ... especially if you're working the drive-thru. I shouldn't really complain because Ashley was on window and Jerry and Nadia were outside in the sun ... they must have been so much hotter than I was (I was on headset). But it was tons of fun.
So it's been a week since graduation! This summer is going to go so fast...
Sorry I haven't posted in forever. Here's a quick update:
I graduated on Saturday! I'm so glad. If you want to see some photos from the ceremony go to
Mom's blog. And in a few days we will hopefully have some of the professionally-done photos up.
Yesterday and today I have been spending a whole lot of time on my new
Facebook. It's a lot of fun. But very easy to waste my time on!
I am trying to write my speech for the Quest222 banquet. But it is hard to think up something to say ... I really don't like giving speeches. Or writing them. Aargh. Oh well.
I'd better go write it now!
I'm excited.
Here is a photo of the graduating class!

Here are photos, taken and edited by Wesley, of some things I have recently acquired for my room.

My new purse from Aeropostale.

A close-up of the hook the purse is hanging on. I got it at Anthropologie ... which, by the way, is a very cool store.

My bulletin board! It has on it my checklist of things to do for graduation.
This afternoon I turned in my last paper for British literature. Actually, my last assignment for homeschool ever. That's right!
I'm done with high school!!!!
To tell you the truth, I'm not really that excited. I guess I've been anticipating the end of my schoolwork for so long that, now that I'm finished, it doesn't seem like that big of a deal. It is good news, though. Now I can focus on getting ready for graduation!
My week has been busy! I've worked in the morning yesterday and today. Today Tyler came to pick up some bagels for the Northlake FSU ... I was like, "Hi ... um ... what are you picking up? Oh. You know Hannah, right? ... Yeah, she works here too. Okay."

lol. Some day I might show up at some other Chick-fil-A ...
I'm about to go back to Chick-fil-A (riding along with Mom when she picks up Wes from work). Yes, that's pretty much my second home now.
I'm going to be taking German at CPCC this summer. I haven't registered yet though ... it was pretty funny because I registered this morning and saw that I owed over $1000 for just that one class. What in the world?! I dropped the class. Turns out it was because I am still classified as a "non-resident" student (since I was in the concurrent enrollment program). I'll have to go to campus to change my status and then register again. Then I can pay $42 per credit hour instead of over $200!
